Hello Guys
I'm growing 12 plants in my 1'x2' micro-vegging box. The plants (6 Northern LightsxHaze and 6 Mango) are doing quite well--I'm very impressed with how tight and compact they are growing. One is a little wimpy, but I think I'll keep it until I figure out if it's a boy or girl.
Anyway, they went in a couple weeks ago, and over the past few days have reached the 6-7" mark. They are being grown in local "topsoil" from the hardware store that I added a good load of pearlite and a little sand to. Seems to be working well.
This is my first ever grow, and I am anxious to get a little product. I'm growing for me and my girl, so maximum production is not really the issue here.
Anyway, I'm wondering about inducing flowering? At 6-7" we are talking they would finish around 1-1 1/2'. I know I will have to get a bigger box--that height would totally overgrow my tiny cabinet.
I've heard of people going 12/12 from seed, and I'm sure it's possible to flower whenever. Just wondering what kind of yeild I could expect.
The plan is to try and figure out who are my best girls. I would figure that out, clone them, and then grow a regular crop, flowering at about a foot tall. Just would like a bit of product between now and then.
Alternatively, how much time are we talking, to get from 6" to about a foot tall? Would it be worth the wait?
Thanks for being patient. It's my first real try and I am anxious to find out how my "proof of concept" is working---but I can't know that without going through and testing product.
