how can i grow one small plant?

on all the information i've been looking at i'm seeing directions on how to do mass growing. i dont really smoke a lot maybe once every few months i also dont like buying it can anyone tell me how grow just one small plant? my girlfriend and i where talking about growing it in a potter with some herbs like mint and cilantro would this work? or maybe in lizard tank. i dont really want to get into putting tinfoil up just b/c it's mostly going to be part of the decore of the house. any help would be great thanks

I would recommend 1x1x3 box with 2xCFLs, you will just switch to 12/12 after your plant shows sex and cut buds and cure them, your plant should live indefinitely from what I read and produce little bud for you to smoke now and then...

once ur plant r growing buds there a time limet on ur plants and as for indefinitely that only when u find out the the plant is female and throw it back under 24/7 lights and do cloning from there and there NO Buds under 24/7..

couldnt i just collect the seeds and every time the plant dies plant a new one?Yes you could. Or you could take clones of a female if you find one you like. You could have one plant indefinitely then. I'd recommend starting 2 or 3 because if you grow one and it's a male it will be time wasted.

A male produces very very little THC, not enough to smoke directly more over cannabis have two genders, in order to get seeds you must either have two plants so that male pollinates female or a hermaphrodite. In anycase revegging seems like a better option for you as you can make it work with just one plant, for cloning you will still need plenty of room for both clone(s) and the donor plant.

If you can live with low yield, take a female, stress it so it will become a hermaphordite and you can forever culcivate seeds from this plant or just cut 2/3 of the plant after you have held it under 7/12/12 and then put it back to 7/24/0 and it will grow back again.

If you wish to devote a little more space and a little more time, make a classic garden, one mother and her children.

Also, read the "Stickies" at the top of each forum. Your questions indicate that you have a lot to learn, not just about growing marijuana, but about plant biology in general. There is a wealth of info out there. The more you research, the better off you will be. Read up on cabinet grows--there are many here who grow in cabs.

You will not be able to have just have it out in the open with house plants or herbs. You will need a cabinet or closet. The light must be controlled for a plant to mature. We don't use tin foil. It is a very bad reflector that can cause hot spots. Flat white paint is a good reflector. When growing from seed, it is always a good idea to start more than one, to help insure getting a female. Males should be destroyed.

if u dont want a dedicated grow room/tent/box
you could try an autoflowering strain
no need for strict light regimes
grow a couple at a time, more chance of gettin a female
