OK as many already know I'm more of a MG guy Ive been using it and adding more and more to it and reusing the old stuff right along in all my grows with much beginner success. The thing is my mix is really starting to get old (4 grows) and is ready to be used as tree stump hole filler. The deal is i went to my local Home De Pot and was going to get the supplies i normally use and they were all out :spit: so i picked up some pro-mix instead, and this leads me to my question for those who have used the pro-mix before. Is is good for starting seeds in? will i suffer any kind of burn in the early stages or will this be a new favorite for me because it doesn't tend to burn a seedling. I got some organic hummus and poo to put in there too and a bag of my usual plain top soil filler to mix as i usually do going for a 60-20-20 mix being pro-mix-poo mix()-topsoil.I was going to add some perlite to it but as the pro-mix has per & ver-lite in it i don't think ill need it now.

will this be a new favorite for me because it doesn't tend to burn a seedling. There are different types, several. I start seeds in the promix HP and it doesn't burn seedlings. No need for perlite with the HP either.

No need for perlite with the HP either.Hmm now i wonder what one i got i didnt see any thing one it that said HP or anything like that it was a plain bag that said promix on it. Your right about the perlite too man that stuff has tons of it in there i think it has more in it then i ever used in any of my previous mixes.

*i have the one that is for containers im not sure if thats what or anything like that but it says right on it its designed for plants that like pH between 5.5.and 7.0 so that sounds like an MJ soil to me lol.

ive been useing pro mix through whole grow mixed w/ various things for veg & flower. beginning stages of seedling used pro mix straight, then as plants grew added blood meal & lil bone still no probs. flower stage mixed in lime & over did it to where i had to transplant 5 wks into bud:shocked: (plants stopped growing & began to fry). well 3 days ago i went to depot & they were out of pro mix so i opted for mg organic garden soil, says not to be used for potted soil. im guessing cause it has alot of stuff in to ammend your garden dirt, but i mixed it 50/50 w/ some pro mix had left over & i kid you not new growth is back to a nice dark green & buds have filled in great in only 3 days so i think i found new easy mix for bubblelicious grow. maybe think about it being a religious mg grower.
