Stopped by police officer

Wondering if anyone has ever been stopped by a police office while they had smoke on them. I was recently stopped in a traffic stop by 2 State Poopers with 1/4 ounce on me, my friend popped a bud in his mouth as soon as he saw the lights go on:holysheep: . Didnt get caught tho *Knocks on wood*

"Mama, excuse me but would you please step out of the car, because I have been trained to know what marijuana smells like and I smell it in your car."



so ya I've been attacked by the law for my beliefs.
I did the time and paid the fine. it been about 4 years now.

Oh yeah I've been there. I was just cruisin with a buddy when we got stopped because the tag light was out. I had to eat my last and best nugget of my blueberry, about a half 8er. It was delicious and very hard with no liquid to help but I did it all before the cop was even at the window. Anyway, he sniffed us out like I knew he would, so we just admitted to having the bowl and no herb. It worked well. He made us watch him smash it and let us off with a warning. Super close call, scared the ish out of me.

me,my best friend,and my cousin got pulled over on campus.We had just lit the blunt literally 15 seconds b-4 he hit the cherrys and berrys.My friend had a quarter on him,he stashed it inside the door.i had the blunt we were smokin.so i ate the blunt (while it was still lit) the cop comes to the window,(im still gettin the blunt down my throat) he pulls my cousin out first (cuz he was drivin) questioned the crap outta him..put him in the back seat of his cruiser,then he came back to the car,pulled me and my friend out.started questioning the crap outta us.he finally starts searchin the car..never finds the 1/4 my friend stashed in the door.So 5 minutes go by and he keeps threatening to pull the dog outta his car (he was a k-9 unit) so after 10 minutes of tellin him all we had was what we were smokin and we threw that out the window when he was pullin us over.he tryed and tryed to find it on the ground with no success.so he puts us all back in my cousins car and tells us he's lettin us go and to stay outta trouble. that scared the ish outta me.needless to say,i no longer ride and toke. but we did have an optimo as fat as it could get stuffed when we got home.it was alright,but my heart was still beating so fast that i didnt even really get all that baked off it.

I've only been stopped one time in my entire life. That was for speeding on radar. My fault, as I didn't watch what I was doing.

I've been driving for 60 years.

If you get high or drunk and drive, you deserve to get stopped and jailed. It's stupid.

Take a cab home, or both ways.

When driving, stay at the speed limit and pay attention to what you're doing. Talking on the phone or reading the paper while driving is also stupid.

When you drive, then DRIVE.

Do the other things when they're appropriate. While driving, it isn't appropriate.

It's that simple.

One speeding ticket in 60 years.

I have been pulled over several times in the past 42 years, none in the past 20 yrs, but I have never gotten a ticket. I show them my [father or son of a cop] badge and chat em up a bit. I guess it helps to have so many family in LE, especially in a little town like mine :hubba:

I have never had my vehicle or person searched, and in a couple of instances I was carrying some smoke. I dont smoke and drive, it seems like I'd be asking for a hassle. :aok:

All i have to say is practice. I am always driving high and with kill. But i am on a sport bike. I have a little hiding spot for it. When i get pulled over, he asks why are your eyes red. I say i was riding my bike, i don't like to wear eye protection and wind hits my eyes and makes them red. Don't have a smell because its all bin blown off so i never get looked at for anything dif. But i got to say iv gotten so many speeding tickets in my time...

I've been stopped a few times actually, and the dumb Officers of the law never realized what I was up to... Only once they found our stash but let us go cause it obviously wasn't what they were looking for, and the quantity was not sufficient... They took it off us though - I guess they smoked it after that..
Other four or five times I have been stopped and questioned, Here in Greece people don't only get stopped while driving but also while walking on the street.. ID checks are very common and if you fail to identify yourself you might be taken away till they know for sure U are Not an Illegal Alien :D
I almost always get searched when this happens, even though I always have ID on me - It must be the way I look - a threat to society I guess.. In other European countries it is illegal to search civilians if they haven't done anything wrong, let alone require an ID if people look foreign - that's called racism in civilized countries! Here in Greece it is a rule - Black, Blond, Any other color than the usual fat Greek *** - Stop! ID?? Who are you?
Awful... That is happening mostly in Athens and in winter rimes, luckily in the summer there are too many tourists and they just can't keep up with the diversity :eek:
Well so far I've been lucky and got away easily.. I still get paranoid only when I see Cops or Cop Cars... Even if I am clean and have no weed on me...
I am allergic to them bastards... And I am no criminal by any means, if only I wasn't in love with MJ I would have been their model citizen I guess :D

Do us all a favor and quit driving while your screwed up. It's not smart, it's not cool and you're risking other peoples right to be safe, alive and well.

When you're high, you are NOT in the best control of your reactions. If something happens that requires QUICK and accurate reactions, you'll fail to respond correctly and THAT may kill you or others.

It's not like it doesn't happen. It happens all the time.

Being high and driving in-between other people is crazy.

I have seen a lot of dead people laying next to, or in the road after some person got to decide when someone else got to die.

Having your guts ripped out by a flying motorcycle and dying while lying in the road is NOT what anyone planned on for their day.

Just because you've gotten away with it this long doesn't mean you'll keep getting away with it.

Stop driving while high. The person you might kill later will appreciate it.

This is nuts, I guess I can understand the leo's asking a ton of questions, but that don't mean they are entitled to any answers.

Here are a few thoughts for those that get questioned;

1. Work it out with your friends as to what (little) you both will say if you are pulled over and seperated for questioning, do this ahead of time and be certain you got it down.

2. Never admit to squat unless you have an attorney advising you.

3. You are not required to even talk with the leo period, he can ask for license, and registration, and proof of insurance, but you are not required by law to say jack shite to him in response to his questions, such as where are you going, or where have you been ?

4. Remember that leo is all to used to folks getting smart mouthed with them, just hold your comments, and stand firm, if your gonna talk then remind the leo that life is a private deal, and that he is not included in your life, BUT also beware that this sometimes pisses leo off. (they are so used to getting their way).
NEVER toss your stash, what a waste, instead if your not carrying too much then snarf it down. It is a bummer to have to eat it, but you won't feel so bad in a little while, Ha-Ha.

***Now, as for driving while stoned outta your head; (BAD MOVE). I fly rotary and fixed wing, and I can assure you that trying to do something that requires your 100% full attention is not the place, or the time to be stoned.
I think that I remember the equation, as far as driving think this one through; Your driving at 55MPH or 80KPH . In the time that it takes you to glance down at your dash board, and then back up to the road you will have traveled 100 feet in the blind, or 33 meters in the blind. Now compound that with being stoned which does hinder your reaction timing, and you can see that at best you are a danger not only to yourself, but to those around you.
Don't believe me ?, it's cool if you don't. I would say go for an airplane lesson and see what it's like. Oh , and do this straight, get ripped afterwards, but be honest with yourself, and start loving life a bit more, you'll thank yourself in the long run.:woohoo:

I dont worry now, i have my medical card. If they ask if i have any narcitics,lol, i say yes but there all legal..hahaha, show them paperwork for herbs and my pain medicine and they let me go, works evertime man got to love it here:). Before i had my medical license i would admit to having it, the most was 2 ounces and the cop just wanted to know where the powder was at, didnt care about the smoke, just kept asking about powder. I told him i dont mess with it nor any friends so he sent me on my way with my 2 ounces hahaha. Got to love Cali!! Peace and Love!!!!!!!!

i,like timmy..drive high alot and have never had any problems.(*knock on wood*)to be honest,i've been told by many people..including my own mother that i drive better when im stoned,and she doesnt smoke or do anything.its just if you can handle your buzz or not.i mean..if im smokin some really good grade a chronic,i know to allow my buzz to where down for a sec before leavin where im at.after gettin pulled over,i quit driving and smoking,but i still smoke and drive.some people can still drive while high,some drive better when theyre high.heck,i think when im drivin..its usually the senior citizens and the leos that you need 2 look out for.i dont know..just my $.02..nothin wrong with not driving if you dont have to.i only drive after smokin if im pressed for time,if im high,i'd really rather be in my house.sometimes theres reasons to have to leave after smokin.for timmy..if he was to get in an accident,he'd probably be the one to not make it..hes on a racing bike...a fast racing bike at that (me and him have already talked about bikes) i hope i didnt offend anybody with my $.02 -thanks for hearin me out-peace

You are 'impaired'. Your reaction time is slowed. There is absolutely NO room for discussion on THAT part.
Now, if you are wise enough to realize that, nd compensate by being more watchfull, aware, and slow down, you might "appear" to others to be driving 'better'. But the fact is, if you are forced to make that split second descision, your mind will not compute... as quickly, nor will your reactions be as fast.
That said, I'm guilty.. :(

Reaction time.

Here's a test for you.

Do each stage of this 5 times. That way, it won't be thought of as an "I wasn't really ready" type thing.

1. Give a friend a flashlight.

2. You hold a stop-watch in your hand with your thumb touching the stop-button.

3. Test 1 - You're totally straight and your stomach is empty. Sit down comfortably in a dark room, (you won't see his/her hand move). Have your friend stand directly in front of you, pointing the light at your face. At any random time between 5 and 10 seconds, the light is turned on. YOU have to stop the watch as fast as you can with one click.

4. Then, have one toke, hold it good, wait 10 minutes and do the test again 5 times.

5. Take another toke and wait 10 minutes again. Test 5 times.

6. Now, after you have all these times written down, imagine being nice and high after smoking several hits and traveling down a road next to parked cars. You're moving at 30 miles/per/hour. A small kid runs from between the cars, just 30 feet in front of you and is directly in your path.

My friends, the 1-2 seconds you have to yank the steering wheel properly to the other side of the road is all you get. Apply the difference in your reaction time to this imaginary instance and you'll see that the difference in your reaction time may be the reason the kid dies.

It's just not fair to be the judge of when that kid gets to die. "Oh well, I felt like getting high and driving, so it's the kids bad luck".

If it were YOUR kid, would that answer satisfy you?

Anyone who thinks they drive better when high, try this test. You'll soon see that you don't have near the reaction time.

As Hick said, you may appear to drive better because you KNOW you have to pay more attention than you normally do, because you KNOW you're high, but your reaction to danger will not be better.

I've said enough. I've had the terrible experience of having a friend who hit and murdered an innocent person who was crossing an intersection.

My friend says he still has nightmares about the impact and the body flying in the air in front of him.

Is being high THAT important that you have to risk this type of thing?

Take a cab. Both ways. Then you can be as high as you want and not risk someone else's life.

back when i lived in S.C where i lived was pure country so anytime i left the house i always had my stuff with me had gotten off of work from winn dixie one night and i had to pick up my daugher from my sisters,,it toke about 30 mins to get where she'd live at,, was going down 331 was fixing to turn off was in a hurry to getthereand to get back home ,, not relizing had fast i was going,, i had just pack my bowl and toke a hit off of it when i saw the lights in the back window,, scare the living hell out of me.. i know that when you get pull over you pose to stay in the car but as soon as i got stop i had jump out of the car and was acting like that i was looking for something in my back seat.....bcause the way i had working i never had time to really clean my car and anything that was in my front seat that i didnt want always got throw into the back seat so back seat was pretty much a mess to the point that the office didnt see my bag or the papers or the bowl that i had in the front seat and he did have his flash light,, he was so amazed with the back seat he never did give me a ticket nor did he he see all the stuff i had in my front seat,,i know how lucky i had gotten that night if he had just moved that light into the front seat i would had been going to jail for sure,,,,,

Before I tell about this, I must state that this incident occurred 20 years ago and there is absolutely NO WAY it will happen today..

Went to a bar to drink. I had about a half oz and was wanting to get rid of a quart so I hung around.Ran into one friend-me and him stepped outside-he had a half on him and we were comparing for a while.
Went back in and seen an old friend.
We start talking and having a few beers, then my old friend says "hey, lets take a cruise".
Cool enough.
He was driving and we had the other friend of mine with us but we had just dropped him off.
We round a corner and here comes the cavalry-one car from the front-another from behind and we end up corralled in an old gas station.
I was scared crapless.
Then this one cop walks up to the car and calls out my old friend by his first name amd says "okay (0000), come on out here and talk to me."

So I'm thinking okay, maybe someone died or something....
Then this other car pulls up and this chick gets out and yells at me "Get out of my car!!!!"
So when I did I flipped the half underneath and walked away some.
The six-pack underneath the seat was the least of my worries....
I did'nt skiddaddle cause I still did'nt know what was going on.

Finally the cop lets my friend go and we start walking away.Then he tells me that his girlfriend had reported the car stolen, but that she did'nt press the issue.That was fine I said then told him about the half underneath the car.
By this time we were out of there sight so we ducked down to a river bank and waited.
and waited.
Then we circled around back to where we had been pulled over.
The two cop cars that had pulled us over were now parked facing different directions....
And the half was laying on the ground directly between them!!!!

We waited
and waited.

Then both cop cars drove off.
Then I walked by and picked it up..

No matter how good of a driver you think you are (and you may even be better when high), you cannot control other people's mistakes. What if some idiot jumps out into the road or someone hits you and it is their fault? All that goes out the window if you're high. No matter who is at fault, if you are high you will get no sympathy and you will be blamed for the incident.

Even if someone rear-ends you and you're high, very bad situation. It's just better to not do it or smoke when you get to your destination.

Smoke and drink at home or take a cab BOTH ways. I've never even come close to a search when using a cab. They don't care if you REAK of weed and booze. You have fun. You get home with no police getting involved and you have no stress from worrying about it. It's a win-win situation.
