yes i did a search and didnt really find what i was looking for :eek:



cloning you only want the females, well from my understanding u wont really know if u have females until the flowering starts. so it could take weaks before u can even start a clone then weaks again to get the clone going. also when the clone starts, is it already mature? or do i gotta wait for the plant to develope again?

i have 3 plants now, that i just started the 12/12 last night and not sure if i should go ahead and get a crop just to get started or wait and see if i should clone them and hold out a few more weaks for a lot more product


oh and are there any early signs to tell if there female? im antzy!!

If you clone now............

Number your mothers

and

clones

accordingly

Flower your mothers

While your clones are rooting

This way you will know which clones are female, when your mothers show sex.

Yes, getting a mother going can take some time... The easiest way to do it, is to take 1 clone from every plant you are growing from seed. Take note of which plant takes a liking to cloning the most and which plant the clone is from. Once you see the sex of the mother, the clone will also be the same sex.

The clone is the same age as the mother, so, no, you do not have to wait for the plant to mature again. Many people, including myself, enjoy gardening clones as soon as they root. Look into parkingjoe's threads... ;)

ok so after i take the clones, should i veg them to grow them or jkust keep them in the 12/12?

14'' 15'' and 16'' came from bag seed, and about 5-6 weeks im guessing, i actually got them off of a buddy who "accidently" grew them and didnt want the responibility of carely for what he created ;)

If your new to cloning see if you could try n get 2 or more clones from each plant.

what happends if i 12/12 them to sex them, then switch them back t0 20/4 so i can continue growing them bigger? would this kill or stress the plant to much?

id take about 3 clones from each plant you popd from seed.. if one or even 2 die you still have a chance...

take the clones. label them accordingly. let them root while the doners bud...

when the doners show sex, Pull the males and the matching male clones..
Keep the females... Take the best/most healthy clone from the Female doner and make a mother out of her... keep in veg 24/7
Keep the other clones in 24/7 for 2 weeks or untill they are fully rooted... I find it takes about 2 weeks... then you can bud them also.. or veg them till you want to bud them.. you can pretty much do whatever you want after you find out which ones are male and which are female

IMO trying to put clones in 12/12 while rooting will make it extreamly hard to get them to root.... i have seen people say they do 12/12 from the day they take the clones but i have not tryed nor do i think this is a very good practice... peace
