Changing soil need help!!!ASP

MY plants are lookin pretty sickly like they cant take in nutrients and i want to change the soil there in.How should i go about this?I already got some Pro mix and have other plants doin great in it.I just dont know if im susposed to shake the dirt away from the rootz or what?will this damage the rootz?PLease help for i am still a young appreintice of the cultivation art:o

go down the page and have a look how I do it, when you do this hold the plant in your hand like I have and pour water on the soil and most of it will wash off, you will not harm the plant :)
