Hey guys, I know allot of people who grow and it doesn't seem like rocket science so I decided to give it a go myself. I've made a space in my closet that measures 1"2 in width, 2"6 in length and 3" in height. My main question is, is this enough room to grow a couple of small ones? If so how many could I fit in and if not, how much space would I need to grow?

With a height of just 3 feet, you're restricted to CFL's I'm afraid.

hey mastaa, you actually have about the same dimensions that im growing in. MJ plants can actually grow to heights in excess of 6 feet, most times even more! i would def recommend reading up on micro grow solutions, like ScrOG (Screen of Green) from this excellent resource: http://www.420source.com/post/9 other sources abound as well!
this way, scrog will keep your canopy at an even level with limited height considerations.
go for square/rectangular buckets too. that'll maximize your grow space, be sure to read up on measurements of the buckets you plan on getting... you could squeeze more than just 2 plants in there (including during flowerign)

A plant 6 foot in height grown in a restriction of 3 foot high is quite a neat trick ;)
it doesn't seem like rocket science your right, there is much more to it!

While it is not rocket science, there is way more to it than throwing some seeds into the dirt and adding water. I would suggest that you start with reading the Resources section and then read all the Stickies on each forum. Put a plan together for your grow space--lighting, ventilation, type of grow, nutes, etc, etc.
I think that T5s are far superior to CFLs and they have a low profile, so don't take up much headroom.

then again, higher start up costs and annoyance >.<
in my 1st-time grow opinion, id op for a prepared T5 setup from htgsupply.com
