Wel it looks at this point that I have a female. the sacks look elongatedand there looks like 2 baby pistols coming out. It may be too early to celebrate but it looks promising.

The question I have is that I have been waiting till it shows sex to transplant it so i looked today and the roots appear to be visible from the drain holes on the bottom on the pot. This plant is already in a 4 gallon pot. do i need to get a bigger pot. The plant is only about 9 inches tall.

can anyone point me to step by step instructions on how to transplant sucessfully?

that pot is big enough, but it depends on where you are growing, inside-outside????? why did you start off in such a big pot????

inside. in a small grow cabinet. Look at my journal if you want to see my setup.

Im a newbie and started off in such a big pot because i didnt want to have to transplant the plant. I started outside from seed and broght it inside about a week and half ago due to very slow growth and the wether here.

what do i do about the roots coming out th drain holes....its not out yet but i can see all the little white roots through the holes on the bottom.

to add... i am probably going to have to transplant anyway prior to flowering because the plant is in the MG prenuted soil. I have an organic soil I can use, I havent had any problems yet with the MG as far as nute burn and stuff go but i did not want it to get all the way to flower then mess up.

that happens to me all the time i got my plants in 2 and half gallon pots, they will come out and go back in perfectly normal.... but what i meant was about starting off in a big pot is not recomended, what if your plant had of turned out to be a male??? and a pot that size will hold a lot of water that a small plant doesn't need..

thanks for the info. I planted this before i got on this forum. I know that now, but didnt know it then. I have had practicly no problems since bringin it inside.

Im leaving for four days tomorrow and just flushed my plant . Its lookin healthy so far. I have been really careful not to overwater. I water once a week.

so i guess i dont need to transplant? would you transplant before flowering because of the mG prenuted soil, or should i take the approach, if it aint broke dont fix it.

i used mg prenuted soil on one grow and grew a big plant with big buds but all that n during flower burned up all my leafs during flower so had to chop before trics got amber but was still some good bud..

okay well then i will probably be transplanting.

what size pot should i be getting? should I scale down the pot a little?

i just topped her and plan on doing some LST so i still have at least two weeks of vegging i would suspect. Im going for the small bushy look. I do know that the plants can triple in size during flower so I just hope my space is gonna be big enoung. Im letting enough grow so i can tie her down. then ill wait a week and put her in flower....should be a pretty good size plant.

i think that the 4 gallon pot is big enough i would just keep it in there..
