how long til i should be able to sex my plants and start seeing some progress after u start the flowering, ive been in flowering for 5 days now and i see nothing new, plants arent getting bigger, no signs of balls or white hairs.. nothing?? how long til i see something?? btw its bag seed, nothing special for now anyways

it also depends on your strain ( indica or sativa) my sativas take alot longer to show signs than my indicas. but when they start to show you'll know. my plants with more indica in them sex within 2 weeks but the more sativa plants take 3 or 4 some times.

I'm on my first grow too, and I had the same anxiety about it. Give it a little while, when they do go male or female, the difference is amazing and very clear. My males shot up about 3" literally overnight, and made a beautiful flower head. The girls all held back several days, and then started making clearly female flower heads with tiny droplets of resin on them. You couldn't miss it if you tried!

I did find a couple of excellent youtube vids on the subject of sexing MJ that helped a lot too.

How old are they?.. they "have" to be old enough)maure enough) to flower.
"Total" darkness?? .. no ambient light, no light leaks..

i have same thing with my plants, patience!!! leave em alone if its outside
good thing comes to who waits my fear to have my plants to turn males, if so then I have to leave them alone and keep going with new grows I know ya feel about slow growing, i have the same feeling, but give em time like we do give women some time jeez

in door in my closet, no leaks, and there cheap grow lights, but they vegged them great so i dont see why that would effect flowering?

How long did you veg for? It takes at least 3-4 weeks for them to become sexually mature.

i need a camera... GRRRR.... The plants have lost a lot of the bottom leaves, since flowering, there about 18'' tall, and only about 5-6'' down from the top still have there leaves... bag seed is a drag...
