i just took 9 clones from my 3 plants, the mothers are in flowering, should i keep the clones elsewhere? i dont really have any other area to put them, so there on a 12/12 light cycle, is this gunna be bad for the clones?

I built a bubbler clone machine with blueprints from this site and tested it with 6.. 5 made it and i stuck them in my grow room with a 1000 watt hps on the floor of course but they still made it

I thought that you should only take clones in vegg. not in flowering. your clones will try to bloom. then they may die. I'd put them under CFL's for a couple weeks. Make sure to water them and they'll hold for a month or 2. Best way is to isolate them in a different room with different light cycles. 24 or 18/6

i've taken clones from flowering plant but they didn't have any signs of a flower on the clones i cut.. i kept them on 12/12 for a few days then i put them in my veg box and they done fine. rooted in a little over a week. hope this helps.

If your "mothers" are in flowering, they are technically not mothers, they are females in flower. Mothers are female plants kept in vegetative state for the purpose of clones. Your clones should be put somewhere else where there is longer light. Clones from flowering plants are harder to root because they have to be forced back into a vegetative state, but you can do it. Also, since clones are sexually mature plants, they can be put into 12/12 light as soon as they are well rooted. They will, of course, be very small and produce substantially less bud than if they are given a decent vegging time.
