How far should plants be spaced?

I'm doing an ebb & flow set up in a 4x4x7 grow tent, with a 1000w HPS light (air cooled). How far should I space the plants for maximum yield? How many plants can I fit in a 4x4 tray?

it depends soley on how big your plants are at the time you want to start flowering. I use a 4x4 tray in ebb and Flow and use 15 with a 1000w
