My first grow has had a rocky start I'll say that much... All 3 of my seeds germed which was a good thing. Seed #1 was fast right out of the gate... it didn't ** at all.. all business. Seed #2 Was right behind 1 trying to catch up with its explosion of growth.. Seed #3 Well.... is just a slow learner...But yo, 1 and 2 look really bad, I think I stressed em out. They are laying on the rockwool, they like, pushed themselves farther out of the little hole. Instead of rooting down and growing up they went horizontal, and they are wavy.. They are showing signs of growth, one has shed its shell, they just look like @#$%. Been feeding them no nutes.. just str8 water at about 5.6 - 5.7 ph. Are they just ugly ducklings or living a stressful life?

dudes yall remind me of myself long time ago hehe long story, anyway, next time you have seeds spout out, put it in the soil like half cm deep centered you can buy Dixie cups, like daycare have for kids to drink for snack time, its great cup for first potting, yeah smart!! then when u see it grow that much, remove the young plants from that cups and put in bigger pot, little deeper on the waist of stem, that will help you out to grow better plants from there. learn!

He is growing in rockwool not soil.

Sounds like you didn't put the tap root down when you planted it. If it were me I would just rip the cube almost in half and gently replace the seedling into the cube with the tap root facing down. Moisten the cube (don't let it be soaking wet) and place them in a starter tray or something with a lid to keep the humidity up for a couple days. They should be fine.

Tater: I had the same idea b4 I read your comments. YOur post makes me think I had a good idea for once.. I actually cut the rockwool completely in half and then gently placed the root inside and put a small rubberband around it. My plants seem to be ok with it.. I have transplanted them to a 6 x 6 cube, because the root started to poke through the bottom.. But I'm afraid that I didn't soak the cubes long enough... I put them in 5.0 water for about 3.5 to 4 hours... They are still showing signs of growth today.. So I'm doing something right, I just worry alot cause I'm a nub. These plants have become like my children or something... Its kinda nuts really.
