I've noticed that certain strains are advertised as "developed for sea of green". Are these just easier to work with using the SOG method, or are there other reasons as well? Also, will strains such as Afghani, Northern Lights, Brainstorm (aka Pyramid) or Skywalker work fine with SOG?

What are some strains that are developed for sea of green? I'm aware of Secret Valley's Top Dollar (which looks lovely, I love the pink coloring), but if anyone wouldn't mind listing some more I'd appreciate it. :)

Thanks!

Usually strains that are advertised as being ideal for the SOG method are because they have little side branching and/or grow mostly as one main terminal bud. Strains like this usually work the best for SOG because you can fit many plants right next to each other and have rows of huge colas, without worrying about side branching getting in the way.

These strains will work just fine grown using other methods but are just suited best for SOG growing, and vice versa. You can grow plants that have side branching (like some of the strains you listed) with SOG as well, but I would recommend not topping or FIMing them and putting them into flower early to allow more room for tightly spaced plants.

Dutchbreed has a strain called Hazy Daze that's supposed to be very good for SOG, not sure if any other seedbanks carry it though.
