I'm starting to build the awesome $35 Bubbler Cloner from Massproducers post and I was wondering if an ultrasonic fogger would be beneficial, or if it would be a problem at all....I've got an extra one just sitting here and would rather put it to good use.

haha Never heard of that before, what about the temp? is the fog hot or cold?

It's a little cooler than the water temp....the fogger sits inside a little floating carrier that keeps it just below the surface of the water. The description from the company is "The ULTRASONIC FOGGER turns your water and your nutrients in 15-20 micron water droplets that are rapidly absorbed through the roots. The smaller water/nutrient particles also allow for better oxygen exchange for the root structure." It came with the Caddy "turn-key" unit from Sunlight Sheds.

Sounds cool man Is it supposed to be on a timer? Lets see it.

I don't see why that wouldn't work, maybe get a dome to keep the humidity up if you are putting a lot of sites in the cloner.

No camera currently....I'll get around to getting one some day.

I found a pic online. I've put it up in my gallery if anyone wants to see it...I've got the single disc one on the right. It's great for keeping the humidity up too. Just put it in plain water and set it inside your grow box.

How much does your bubbler bubble? Mine puts out enough bubbles that the surface of the water is quite turbulent and I don't think one of those floating carriers would stay upright.
I do think that the fogger is a good idea, though. I have 2 of the decorative types in my home to help put moisture in the air--it is pretty arid where I live. Let us know if you think that it makes a difference.

Haven't finished the project yet.....lack of funding at the moment. But the fogger definitely raises the humidity in a small enclosed area. Though it does tend to do a lot of spitting so you need a good foot of lip above the top of the water or it gets a bit messy.
