i have the 2001 edition of the Greg Green, cannabis bible, i downloaded it somewhere. I must say though that I hate that book, I find it has a lot of ** and outdated material in it even though it was rereleased in 2001.
This is of course my opinion, but I would say to research whatever you read in that book,on your own because everytime I read this book I find misinformation.

Man just read these forums, or do some searching, check popular torrent sites to download all kinds of videos (as long as you own an original copy of the work you are downloading piracy is illegal ;) ) Don't go spending all kinds of cash on information that is available for free. Here's the biggest thing you need to know about hydroponics, you need to supply water nutrients and oxygen how you do it is up to you. You can use a bubble bucket, or a burp and gurgle bucket, or NFT, aeroponics, DWC, flood and drain, drip systems, etc etc etc or any combination of them. Basically it dosen't matter how you supply the solution as long as you can control the variables. Decide first what your goals are, how many plants do you want, do you want to use a SOG with lots of small plants or just grow a couple monsters. Read read read, there is so much good information out there all you have to do is put in the effort and you will be greatly rewarded.
Remember these three things
ph 5.2-5.6
buy some high quality nutrients and follow the directions

Actually, the videos posted right here on this site are terrific. They're straightforward, informative, accurate, and easy-to-follow. Go to the home page, then select the "Growing Marijuana Videos" option on the left side of the page.

I'd stay away from the Jorge Cervantes books, by the way. There's a lot of information in them but they're poorly organized and not very well written. I like Ed Rosenthal's books alot as well as Greg Green's.

That's the lowest ph range I've read yet, with the exception of rockwool soaking. Apparently the variations are as diverse as the plant itself.

There is an E-book called "How to Hydroponics" that is quite good. It addresses hydroponic (not growing mj), has a lot of picture and diagrams. I also has DIY plans for several different systems and a closet set-up
Another E-book called "Secrets Behind Closed Doors" was helpful.
