Quick question. You can see a picture of my plant (in my grow journal in my SIG) in it's 2nd week and the very bottom leaves are almost completely yellow.
I don't think it's a pH problem and I haven't feed it any nutes/ferts...just distilled water. I think my problem was that I used a regular household buld??? Now the bottom leaves are yellow.
I've already removed the household buld...but will my plant eventually turn back to green??? Or do I have to do something to help change it back to a healthy green???
Any and all feedback welcome. Thanks everyone!!!

Right about two weeks is when they are ready for there first feeding. Those yellowing leaves are your babies way of telling you it's hungry. Have you thought about a good fert? Try some "Earth Juice", good organic stuff. Bat guano, worm castings...mm mmm mmmm Smells like pooo but boy do the ladies love it. IMO Much Love.

OK. So maybe it wasn't because I used a regular household light bulb then? Maybe it's time for some feeding? I was under the impression it didn't need feeding until the 3rd or 4th week.
But then again...this is the beginning (day 2) of the third week.
There's a garden shop that sells Fox Farm ferts...I'm thinkin about getting some there.

Regular household bulb?..Didnt catch that when I posted. What type bulb are you using? Some will work for a short period during the seedling stage, but if quality marijuana is the expected final outcome...upgrades should soon follow.

if they are the very bottom first leaves they will go yellow and die off :48:

Right now I'm using one 13watt CFL...for the time being. I'm getting more CFL's in the mail and they should arrive tomorrow. Once I get them I'll be running on 16000 lumens, each bulb at 30watts.
I used the regular household buld for about 1-1.5 days. It was then that it started to turn yellow, so I pulled the household bulbs out.
I'm wondering if my plant will eventually turn back to green when I use all my CFL's when I get them tomorrow. Is my plant sick, or is it yellow because of the household bulb?

Is that what eventually happens with most/all plants? So I don't have much to worry about?
EDIT:

Once again, thanks Mel for the insight. Thank you too TrailerTrashed!!! I had no clue that the bottom leaves turn yellow and eventually die off. LOL...Phew

They are called embryonic leaves (cotyledons) and die soon after the real leaves form.

just wondering how much light the babys are getting? a day

For the first 1.5 weeks, they were outdoors. They got about 5-6 hours of direct sunlight, the rest of the day they got shaded to heavily shaded sunlight.
*Then I brought them indoors because I wanted them to get more light. Bought a lamp timer and now I run them on 18/6
The next 3-5 days, I used a 13watt CFL plus 2 60watt Household light buld. Don't really know how many lumens that adds up to.
Then my bottom leaves started to turn yellow. I freaked and took away the houshold light bulds. (Apparently it's all normal, LOL) So my plant has been getting just the 13watt bulb for two days. I know it's not nearly enough light...
But I'm getting all my lighting equipment in the mail tomorrow. Once I have that, my plant will get around 14000-16000 lumens. I will be using a combination of 2700K and 6500K spectrum now until finish.
