I think I read somewhere that Mr. Nice had/made the original. It's Black Widow on his site.

Green House Seeds say that they are the originators...1994, say it's stolen by others.

I've read conflicting things about it. I read that Shanti(Mr.Nice) created ww while he was with greenhouse but i'm not positive on these sort of things. I most definitely liked Nirvanas version:).

Here is the deal, Greenhouse does have the original White Widow but Mr.Nice was working for them at the time so he is the one that bred it. So greenhouse gets the credit but supposedly Mr.Nice took the genetics with him so they couldn't make it anymore which I don't see how if they've been growing it for awhile they should have been able to breed what they had.

Mr. Nice is the one that created it so he is supposed to be the only one that knows exactly what it is. I guess they tried suing him when he released his white widow, thus the name change to black widow.
