The wife finally caved in!!!!:yay: after explaining the risks of growin in a rental she gave me the green light to do it in the garage,
She told me if I built her a workout room out of half of a two car garage I could build a small....ummm....office with some of the space. her only requirement is that she doesnt see it, hear it, or smell it.... (Please tell me this is possible)
There is an attic above the garage i intend to put all the exaust fans and stuff that make noise up there. I want to build 2 3X3 grow areas Veg and Flower.
The room is going to be cooled from air inside the house, and tapping into the A/C ducting.
I was about to finalize a lease on a rental but now i get to do it in the safety of my own home....:woohoo:
This thing is gonna be stealth, construction begins next week!!! woohoo....

She knows I grow, she just wants it stealth..... Im going shopping at the hydro store next week,
CanFan system for smell,
some White Poly (in place of Mylar)
2 - 2 ft T5 for seedlings and sproutlings
2 more Inline Fans
Got a 400 MH\HPS - VEG
Got a 600 MH HPS - Flower
Got 6 clones going right now under a 600 MH.
I guess Im ready to rock and roll.....
If anyone has any suggestions on stealth let me know.... I want to have trouble finding it.....now thats stealth!

controlling the speed of your blower fans for stealth purposes... get something that could handle the whole garage, but only do a portion of it with the speed turned down on the fans, so quieter ;)

make sure your fan has enough cfm's to handle it.i found out this the hard way.i would go with no less than a 435 cfm blower to vent the reflectpr, thru a carbon scrubber.jmo

the area is only going to be 3X3. I have a 8 inch 360 now and was getting a few more 6 inch 345cfm....is this not going to be enough? I think the carbon filter i am getting is only rated up to 380 or 400 max.Should i get a bigger one?
so what your saying is i could buy a much bigger fan than i need and use a speed controller to turn it down? this will make the fan quieter?

You might be better just using one 8" inline fan, splitting it to two 6" ducts for each room. Either that, or just make a sealed room.. :) A/C + CO2 + Dehumidifier = much better results (and more predictable at that).
My next room is a sealed room.
for clones i would use tube flos save some money on the elec. don't need much for clones or veg. IMO. 600W is a lot for 6 plants. Plus reduces heat. ;) use it with the HPS for flower and you have 1400w would be pumpin out some buds.
just a thought.
congrats on the new grow :D
