Butter Question

I recently made brownies with a couple of friends of mine and I wanted to know how long everyone else cooks the butter with the bud. We did it for 20 minutes and now I'm curious as to if we cooked it to much or to little.

2 hours on a low simmer.

The amount of time you did it for would not have dissolved hardly any of the Trichomes.

I melt the butter and try to maintain about 100 degrees (38 Celsius) for about 3 hours. I also add Bacardi rum 151. I don't know if the alcohol makes any difference, though.

The butter doesn't dissolve or anything? That was my main concern, thanks for the info. Also do you guys add any water at all or just the butter?

No, the butter doesn't evaporate that much, if at all. Don't add water. THC isn't water soluble, plus water and fats don't mix. Use only butter. Unless you want to add alcohol.
