I have this big white dog who has big white feet. But right now she is in the backyard in the rain and her paws are covered in mud. :holysheep:
She looks miserable and keeps tapping on the door to come in.
I wish I was strong enough to lead her straight into the tub for a good shampoo. She weighs 125 pounds, is very stubborn and just plant her butt down refusing to move.
The rain has now stopped. I just want to leave her outside. The temps arent cold.
Can I leave her out there to dry, or should I gather all the towels and slowly try and coax her in and deal with mud and wetdog smell?
Hey, told ya I was stoned.

The best way to bathe her is to tie her to a tree outside and do it quick.
Come help me slowmo. :p

Me personal, i would bring her in and give her a nice bath. If you really cant bring her in, i would put her in the shed outside, it might rain again and its not nice being wet.

Get the garden hose out and give her a bath outdoors then bring her in to dry. That is after she gives a good shake:)

That happens here with our labs. I hook up the garden hose to the laundry room sink and turn on both faucets part ways to make WARM water. The dogs line up for a nice warm rinse job. Then they shake for me, get toweled off and head for the wood stove to lay down and dry off.

Well, the sun is coming out now. I think she'll definately dry quicker outside. I will go rinse her down in a bit though.

I am glad that I can just pick my dog up and put him in the shower. Every once in a while he likes to dig  and our dirt is that red clay mud  and he always seems to do it after it rains, makes a nice mess :hubba:

Turkey had me laughing out loud and reading his comment to my wife who is constantly taking showers because she sweats right thru her clothes or PJ's....or she can pee her pants because her timing is off getting to the bathroom.....

In the Summer, I keep a plastic sink liner on the back porch that I fill with water to rinse off my dogs feet during the rainy season. They get used to rinsing off their paws and when I dry their little footies it gives me a chance to check out their nails for splits or anything. I used to be a big Martha Stewart Fan. I learned this simple basic from her show.
