from wat i understand the buzz can be different an their overall appearance and growth cycles(length of veg/flower)- sativas grow bigger taller an take longer to fully mature an flower longer. sativa leaves are normally longer skinner fingers/blades.
idicas are normally shorter bushier and have wider finger/bladed leaves. also take less time to flower. i believe avg flowr time for indica is 6-10 weeks
sativa length of flowering is 10-12 weeks avg.
someone jump in correct me if im wrong on all this.

indica buzz you soo strong , and its good for the night ;)
sativa is nice for the morning , afternoon and evening .
i love sativa more , but sometimes indica is a good choice when you really want to get high,
sativa makes you feel high in everypart of your body , and it gives you a real feeling of high my best choice is Golden Malawi.
indica , hmm... it just freezes my brain and i can lose days by smoking indica.

i mean like what is the difference in appearence. i have several plants that are tall with long finger leaves and a few other that are short with broad leaves
That's really a tough question to answer because the sheer amount of different varieties available including hybrids. But if someone was to use a measure to determine the common difference between a Sativa's appearance and an Indica would be similar to the following:
Sativa
Tall, skiiny growing, flufflier, skinnier bud sites, ceriberal high, herbacious to fruity smelling, sometimes minty or spicy, 7-13 finger or leaves, mostly skinny
Indica
Short growing, compact dense, sometimes thicker longer bud sites, stronger body high, mild to strong smoke, sometimes fruity, 7-11 leaves mostly larger or wider
