Is my bagseed ready to flower?

Pic#1 sprouted from the dirt on 5/6 and is 13"

pic#2 & 3 sprouted from the dirt on 5/9 and are 11" & 9"

There are 2 more (pics not shown), they are both 8" but are very thick with growth, i'll post them in a minute.

This is as far as i've EVER gotten, now what?
Keep in mind i'm not looking for a maxium yeild, just to get through the flowering and drying stages with THIS BAGSEED, so i get practice for my $ seeds..........................:D

In the 1st post the pics appear to show the plants yellow, it's just the light, the only yellow is a couple bottom leaves as you can see.

You really can start the flower cycle anytime you want, so the simple answer to your question is YES!

It looks as though they're already showing preflowers but it's hard to tell- do you know already?

Sounds like you're doing things right by testing your environment with bagseed. Hopefully you'll be rewarded with some great smoke for your efforts. Good luck to you!

The plant is ready when your ready.

Your soil looks very dry, what feed have you been giving it? It looks like it needs a good N feed.

The only thing you have to remember is that if you flower, I dont think you have a diferent veg and flower room do you. If not then you will have to move your flowing plants twice a day, every day to a dark area when your other plants start comin up and veggin. Everyday at the same time, if your up for that getim flowing or just wait till your good seeds are ready and do them all at the sametime. It's your call. the look good and good luck!!

pre flowers is what you see when a plant is sexually mature ,,it will either show 2 white hairs signify a female or a some male ball sacs :peace:

Another thing is didn't you say you have both spectrum of bulbs going and have some more red spectrum so you can flower with all red. If thats so are you going to change your bulbs everyday also? Or did you get another t5 set up ? one for veg and one for flower?

here are the answers;

I water every 3 days, i watered yesterday, i water til the water comes out of the bottom then stop.

1) I only used nutes once, 2 waterings ago, i plan to nute again on saturday with the watering, i'll use 1/4 tp grow big in 1 gallon like i did before (unless you would suggest otherwise, i have big bloom, tiger bloom and grow big)

2) i do have a different flower room, my closet, i already hung a dark sheet on the inside and stood in there, it was 99% dark, just a TINY, TINY shine from the door crack, tiny. I can fit all of them in there til i buy the grow tent (waiting on funds, 1-3 weeks)

3) lights; i have 2 3000k for flowering on the far ends of the fixture and 2 6500k in the middle. And yes, i have 2 more 3000k.
I dont mind switching each day as i'm home disabled anyway, i got nothing else to do.
I plan to buy at least another 8 bulb set up with the tent and an inline fan/timers,charcoal filter/etc. , Maybe even a 2nd 99.00 grow room for flowering?

Hick, ukgirl420, the dillhole thanks you, but where on the plant will i 1st see these balls/pistols (pistols i hope), on the lower set? middle?

I would buy a Hps system because the cfl has to be sooo close and one can burn the leafs while ur sleeping..

You will see the prflower at the main stock next to each branch I would add a pix of what it looks like but I can't reload a pix so maybe Hippyland or some can show that pix for u..

Understand the cost of electric there.!!! I can't just grow one or 2, I have to grow alot for my Habit and I am learning as I go.
I am going to order a 1000 watt Hps here real soon for my flower room and use my MH conversion bulb on my HPS for my veggie room so my electric Will go up another 50 buck for that 1000 watt unit.
With just my Hps system my electric went up about 30 for flowering and 50 for Veggie when I had my Cfl's going as my Veggie room.
I am also on disability but have a o'lady that on it too soo I pay the light bill No Matter what Price it is as long as it stays under 150 during the summer. :rofl: that be No chance..;)

I didn't mention that I Only grow at night, that helps to keep the temp down and I don't have to worry about running my water cooler all day while the lights r on and can't control the temp well and growing at night also help keep my electric down too..;)

Besides, as i learned here, you can get HUGE amounts off one plant so i would rather learn right and grow bigger plants but less of them.

nice i started 12/12 about 3 nights ago.
you dont want to water plants on a specific watering
schedule, youll want to water it by soaking all the soil letting
it soak through so you know its all been saturated. let the drain holes
run for a bit. then water again once the soil is 95% dry. dont always just judge by the runoff of the drain holes because when the soil is too dry, youll see youll get automatic runoff. good luck

See I got my MMJ papers and I am legal by state but not federal and my doc put on my papers stating I can grow 50 plants and have 2 Oz a week and that exclude me from the 6 mature and 12 inmature laws.. But I stay legal some what..
Vebal isn't good enough enless ur doctor will go to court and state u need the MMJ for ur meds. With out the Doctor regs with the state nothing is Legal just got to find that right doctor..

Yeah what Don o Chron said. If you don't water a specific amount (I think HIE threw out something like water with 20% of your container size) you'll eventually over water one or under water another. I use 5 gallon buckets so I use 1 gallon of nuted water per 5 gallon bucket.

If you water a certain plant and the soil has developed a direct channel to the holding tray, even as little as a pint of water will run through. If you have one that is pretty solid and compacted, the gallon of water will not run through for sometime. Take a stand on how much you're gonna water and do it the same for each plant every time you water (this is assuming your plants are all roughly the same age).

When to water? When they look down-right sad, droopy. Some judge by weight and I'm sure they've developed a knack for it--I make 'em get sad before I water.

Edit: If you wait until they are good and dry, you can't over-water, really, as long as you let them dry back out thoroughly before another watering.

Some here sit their buckets in a container and let the root ball and soil pull up all the water it can handle. This is probably the smartest way, but I'm running (10) 5 gallon buckets right now so I'd have to hire a couple of illegals to help me water.

If I don't start shortening my responses I'll have to change my name to EncyclopediaHead.

QUESTION;
I'm starting 12/12 tonight on my bagseed and when they are under the T5's i need to switch to all 3000k bulbs, (now im using 2 3000k and 2 6500k )
I'm currently germinating AUTO-FLOWERING seeds, so since auto's have no veg state, can i KEEP the 3000k bulbs on both the autos and the bagseed ?

I think my tallest plant of bagseed is a FEMALE ! ?
I can see 2 small white hairs in several different spots.
I don't think my camera can get in that close, but i'll try again.

I looked and looked and looked some more til i was focused in and positive, there are at LEAST 6 different places where there are 2 whire hairs.
Should i now name her or is that silly ? I'm felling kinda silly right now, hehe, i even kissed HER when i was sure, lol.

The others are a little smaller and may take longer to sex, i'll watch them CLOSEY.
How long before the males pollinate the female?
Do male "sacs" open or ? what do they look like up close ? The pic i have from another thread is not a close up. :D :hubba:

Don't just Jump for Joy Just Right yet.
It might be female now but in a week or 2 or more could find that it a Hermie.. :eek: I had that happen. Right now i am starting to worry about mine big one as I can see something that looks like a football with strips popping out.. If soo then it going to grow because I can't see wasting all my time and ALLLLLLL my electric cost to get this far, Just to throw it away..

Ahh, so this morning i confirmed #2 female.
The others are showing sex, but i can't tell yet, i'm sure by tommorrow they will all show.
I hope it's NOT a hermie but if it is i WILL chuck it as i have $ seeds growing and i don't want to infect them.
This is just bagseed and a learning tool, not for the yeild.
Free bagseed is no big deal to mess up on, i have hundreds of bag seeds as i save them.

My Poison Dwarf Auto is funny, it's suposed to be an ultra quick grower yet it still has it's shell on and the stem is about 1" out of the dirt, if it grows any slower it will return underground, lol, ha.

Ok, this morning i can see there are 2 males. They are clearly different than the females. I'm gonna kill those 2 this morning, i tried to take photos but they did'nt come out, i hope i'm right, i think so.

The 5th bagseed plant i can't tell yet, it's the smallest at 10" and the other 2 females are 16" & 20".

I gave them some tiger bloom last watering, 1/2 strength.

IME.. don't guess. A few days waiting, to be certain, isn't going to harm your crop. Bagseed can express different phenotypes, different structure, bloom times, ect. No need to rush killing anything you aren't 'sure' of..IMO.

Too late, i killed them. Since they were not $ seeds and i want more room for $ seeds i offed them, they had like 3 football like things each in a ton of different spots. There's a 3rd i think is a male too, but i will wait til at least tomorrow to be more sure. The 2 females have a LOT of spots where there are 2 white hairs and NO signs of those football things.
I transplanted the females into bigger pots, see my new thread on root balls for the pics.
