The "ParaChat" room.

In the below picture, you'll see a screen shot from the ParaChat website. It shows the number of people in the chat room and their names.

I think this would be a cool add-on because many times I've not gone into the chat room because it's a drag to go in and have nobody else in the room. Or I enter the room and then go surf the site. When I check in, three people have been there and left after doing the "Hey Stoney, are you there" thing. Most people don't know you can make a noise in the room to attract anyone who is in the room, but surfing. The noise alerts them and it only takes a few seconds to re-enter the room.

If I could see a list of who is in the room, I think I'd use the chat room much more. A quick glance and I could see if anyone is in the room and if it's someone I want to talk to or maybe someone I *don't* want to talk to.

Just a thought. Anyone else?

I know that I would drop in more often, if it were possible to see that others were there. I've done the same thing a few times, check in noone there, or have come and gone.

I see what I can do guys! The professional version of them cost a monthly fee so i think that's out of the question.

There are some good free options available, so lets see. If anyone can help me find out then it's even better.

Look for something that can be integrated within Vbulletin 3.5

There is a chat software that integrats into V-bulletin. It will also only allow access to subscribed members. but it does run on a different server.

GTchat looks like it would be a cool package. It's free, it has free addon language packages and has some very cool features.

I see that it has the ability to show on a webpage how many are in chat and who is in chat.
