Hey SmokinMom, the server is in Holland and may be backing up late at night local time. Holland is 6 hours ahead of the east coast of the USA, so if it backs up at 3am, it's 9am here. Also, if MarP is like every other owner of a web group, he loves to work on his creation. While he's working on something in the server, it might slow it down for a short time.

It may be a bandwidth problem too. MarP doesn't have advertising to help pay his server costs and currently pays it from his own money. The last I heard, he isn't a rich guy, so there are limits as to what he can afford to spend on this wonderful hobby he has.

Be patient and enjoy! I love this place and to me it's worth a little bit of a wait to be able to talk to all of you about my favorite subject!

MarP and I discussed this. Some of the problem is the new photo gallery software. He said its not the fastest in the world but the best outa the bunch that he can use with the v-bulletin software thats within budget. ;)
Hey I'll wait the time it loads as well.
Also late night for us is peak time for holland. So the server that this is hosted on probably gets slammed during those hours and re-allocate bandwidth to help with the other business that are hosted.
but yeah, MarP has done a fantastic job and still hasn't gone the Advertising route. That in itself deserves many thanks. If you have seen other forums. You'll notice the only ones that would like to be advertised on forums like this are not exactly the "appropriate content" You wanna see while reading posts. Especially if your kids walk into the room.

Yes, but why some of us are here? MarPassion has gave us a great place to talk about our hobby with no real benefit to him. He is not associated with a seedbank and the server is in a very MJ freindly country. both a plus and makes me feel safer all the way around.
