Just out curiosity does anyone here ever grow their plants with music? I heard that playing classical music actually can help the plants grow a little better or it could be b.s too. I thought I would try it on my first grow, I have radio in the background that plays classical music all day but I can't really say if its working, with 4-40w floro lights and so far it's budding very nice.

I actually keep a small radio in my growroom lightly playing raggae music. It enhances the mood when I look in there and I really think the plants like it. Gotta remember a spot in my Growbox for a radio as I'm finishing it up.

I know for a fact that a study was done to prove that singing to your plants increases growth. Unfortunately it was found that the only reason this worked was because of the increased carbon dioxide levels in the room from the singers lungs. I don't know where I read that from but if I remember I will post a link.

Obviously the music from a recorded device is different, but it could have something to do with the vibrations or magnetic fields. I can't see it as the plants actually liking the sounds of the tones as plants have no hearing ability as we humans and animals do. I'm sure there has to be some type of study done on this somewhere. I'm going to look for a link.

The study was done by some british scientists... I remember that much. Certain plants like different kinds of music.

I've heard this question asked hundreds and hundreds of times, and the answer to it is VERY simple.

YES, music DOES make MOST (about 98%, marijuana included) plants grow faster. And certain plants don't like certain types of music, that's **. It has nothing to do with the melody or beat or that type of stuff.

Plants react to high frequency sound waves. When bombarded by a constant stream of nearly ultra-sonic pulses and chirps, it causes the pores of the plants to open up. This increases the rate at which they absorb nutrients and therefore makes them grow much faster and much healthier.

There is a professional system available to purchase that works off this principal. It is called Sonic Bloom. The price for the "starter kit" is around $80 though. I had plenty of success just doing it on my own with a computer, fm transmitter and a nice home stereo. I put the stereo in the closet with the plants, shut the door, and then played a range of tones from 4000 - 4600 hz on the computer. I was AMAZED! My plants immediately started to grow like hell! I'm talking 1 or 2 inches A DAY!! Unfortunately, this was my first time trying to grow and soon after they all developed root rot and died... But I've tried it on other batches with similar success rates.

The program I used to create the tones is called Brainwave Generator. It's supposed to be used to "stimulate your brain" and whatnot, but it works great for the plants because you can set the frequency to whatever you want, and you can have it slowly increase or decrease, change volume levels, whatever. The key is to have a GOOD set of speakers.

If you're interested in trying this and you'd like me to send you the program just IM me.
