Green Seeds

When the seed first appears on the plant does it look like a smaller pointed flower with no hairs? I've been told that you will first see a seed pod, but I don't know what a seed pod looks like.

those are pictures of male flowers(stamen)..not seeds.

..as a seed forms, the pistill will shrivel, die and turn rusty red/brown, and the calyx will swell. I "googled" for a picture, but didn't find a suitable candidate.

i think they mean when the seeds appear in the buds, but i could be wrong again. damn burnt out brain cells.
