I don't remember where I read it but it was about the beneficial properties of coffee grinds. Soooo - I mixed my used coffee grounds with some potting soil and added it to one of my plants = now I have added it to the three plants I have going and also to a couple of house plants with no problem!!! Does anyone out there have any pros or cons to this. Also - dpn't understand the search engine here - I put in coffee grinds and it came up with a find - but then I could not find it with what they brought up - help!!!

These two tinks should help you out...btw, Ive always used the term "coffee grounds". I have a book on ways to use alternate mediums in grow. I'll dig it out in a day or two and see what it say's. I'll get you the name of the book. there is an actual formula in it to use only coffee grounds and peanuts as a medium. hmmmm, I may play a little w/ a clone or two....

I am not using it as a total growing medium, just a little bit of grounds in the soil - never thought of just grounds - interesting thought!!!
