I have been checking out the great information on this forum and I'm taking it all real slow. I planted 12 seeds from some bag weed and only 1 sprouted. I have eclosed a pic of that one. I also ordered some Skunk from Canada, and will be planting seeds today. I'll keep the forum up on the progress of that in a week or so...
I need to know when to re-pot it in a bigger pot? It's about 5 inches tall now. Do I need to start feeding it soon?
Thanks for letting me be a part of such a great site...

hey, welcome to the forum Terrier.
Well, thats rockwool you are using, when you see any roots coming out the little block, transplant it to a bigger grow block thats been moistened.
you will not need nutes for about 2 weeks.
if you are growing in soil that is rich in nutrients then you wont need any more nutes for a bit.
hope this helps

The doc summed that one up pretty well, but Doc, isn't that a peat pellet? Call me crazy but I havent seen any rock wool like that haha.;)
Thats really a shame that only one seed germinated. What was your technique? I know I saw Brouli post a video on propegation just a few days ago that was spectacular. Best of luck with the Skunk!

If you do have the temptation to feed it, only feed it 1/8 of the solution at first.
Oh by the way welcome to he forest.:D

I simply used the wet paper towel method for three days then planted them in the peat pellets...
For the skunk, I am doing 6 seeds now. I'm saving the other 7 seeds in case I screw up! After all, I blew about $30 on 13 seeds...
The method I am doing is I'm just putting them straight into the wet peat pods. I guess time will tell in about a week we'll see if I've had any luck...
For lighting on the baby, I'm just using a CFL lamp for the moment. Everything I've read says this is perfectly acceptable for now.
I will be purchasing a 400W HPS (most likely) for my flowering...
I will read up on nutrient dosing, as I'm not familiar with any of that information at this point...

Move your lights closer. Your plant is stretching for some light. My little plant is 6" tall, and I have 6 sets nodes. That is 6 sets of branches coming off of the main stem.

I have moved it about 2 inches closer and I'll get another pic next week. I am only using the 9 watt CPL... So, maybe I need to go to Home Depot and get more wattage?
Thx for any input you can give...

Yup, you need more light than that!
at least 3000 lumens per sq ft.
go to wal-mart they have 2 packs of 26w 6500K bulbs that put out 1600 lumens each. Thats the least you will need for 1 plant. (6 bucks a pack)
and walmart also has light splitters you can screw 2 bulbs into one socket.
ITs a start.
keep the cfls like 2-3 inches away max.

or try Home Depot and purchase the Day light simulant bulbs. they are also 26 watt equal to 90 watt.
