Herbal Tinctures

Hey, I'm about to make some herbal tinctures but I'm not sure if I have the right alcohol. I bought Isopropyl 99% alcohol. Is this okay to use?

I think I just answered my own question.. I'm pretty sure it's not safe to use this type of alcohol.. and I should instead be using a high percentage grain alcohol such as 100 proof vodka or Everclear.
