So like i buy these seeds from my boy up the block, right $5 for 30.
i grow the ones that i feel will grow fastest.
Now, im a vet at growing plants being that i stayed in FL for 2 years trying to do the same. (The seeds in FL didnt grow at all fast) I germinate
the seeds normally using hydroponic methods, paper towels, water, cut
gatdorade bottle 32 FL.OZ. the next day the stems were 1 inch long
no root.:( so im like this is good!! then they stop growing. i used peat afterward and a floodlight (very powerful) they grew a littlebit now its dormant.
this is the 4th day, and i need to further the process. can anyone help?
should i get Takeroot or get some oxygen into the seed? I cant really kill money anymore till i get some payments

What kind of floodlight is it? If it is a normal incandescent bulb it isn't going to do anything. What seems bright to our eyes may be virtually invisible to a plant if the light is in a spectrum that it can't use. I have seen MH floodlights and if you have one of those, light may not be an issue. But if it is a regular incandescent bulb -- even if it is a big or a bright one -- pick yourself up some compact flourescents from a department store. Check in the "Lighting" area of this forum for info on which bulbs to get and how many you'll need for the area/number of plants you have. Especially check out CQ's "CFL 101".

theres a lot of heat coming out of it tho. its a 400 watt type T-3 lamp ( the type you would find at a constuction site or a arceologist dig.)

Germinate in soil. Its the best way to do it. Sure it takes a little bit longer(2-3 days) but the thing is that the seed already has a jump start on introduction of the vitamins and nutes that soil provides. I have been using the soil method and never had one bad seed. Germinating in Fox Farm Organic soil then transplanting to Ferti-Lome soil or Hydro from there. There is alot of things that can go wrong for a seed during Hydro Germination.

lights found on construction are not the right kind. those are more than likely halogen.

im going to grab more seeds. my dad reaally doesnt approve of me growing in the house cuz of the cops.
nope. soil didnt work. im going to go back to hydroponics. i have a second set of seeds that i just started to germinate at 10:59pm.
im going to powerdrive the seeds. everything customized (a new way to grow. faster better more efficient.). if those seeds took 14 hours to go from nothing to 1.5 inch stems there should be a way to speed up the process. furthermore. no more SOIL. i would prefer cowshit. feed it minerals and vitamins.... there should be a better way something that i would do to the second batch than soil.
no roots grew on the stemmed seeds so im germinating them further till roots grow. that was probably the mistake.
as for cultivating the plants, i'll clone and fuse them. i dunno why i have skills with plants. its seems easy just takes too long.
1. im sober need to toke up
2. need a lot of money.
