i was looking at making an airoponic system on the cheap, but the pumps seem to be expensive, but i remembered looking at water injection for a car,
so here is a link to a site looking into a cheap high pressure pump,

as im sure you know these systems sell for around $1000us and upwards,
maybe an even better system would be to use a Rotory Vane Pump and a motor to run it
those pumps are around $50us an up and are rated at 75 gallons per hour and even higher!

or a procon pump which is also available on ebay from about $50us not bad eh?
