Baking soda nearly killed an elderly man. He was using it to relieve the stomach pain caused by an ulcer, but went way overboard with the mildly basic home remedy.

Ok, I feel sick in the head now - all I did was read the title and started busting out...lol
 
nothing......and i mean nothing.....whitens the stains outta the kitchen sink like good ol baking soda....who in the hell would eat that ****?
 
Whoa,
Let's back the medical train up a tad. One, I can't believe that Doctors would treat him without consulting the family member who obviously was there. BUT the comment that scares me to death is the one where they say that they could treat him with an injection of Hydrochloric acid ? The lethal injection for someone being put to death by law uses carbolic acid, a much weaker acid as acids go compared to Hydrochloric.
Shades of the inquisition.
