The air pumps I use for my DWC are 5L/H.

Someone told me that the optimal amount of oxygen is 1:1, so for my 50L reservoir I would need 10x as much.

What's the truth?

Yes I think the rule of thumb is 1watt per gallon. But the bigger the better. so if your looking at a 13gal rez, you should get a bigger pump 5L is only 1.32 gallons/h.

Wow, that's odd. The biggest air pump around me is 10L/H with 4 outputs.

Go to the Pet store and getting a Aquarium pump for 20gal fish tank would do the job. Wally World has 20gal pumps with dual outlets for 10 bucks I think and they are quiet and cheap and come with check valves. Ecoplus aren't that great they get louder the longer you have them...
