I scored an almost new 10" vortex fan from C-list...(for $150)

The problem is, it doesn't have brackets or anything..it's just the round jet engine lookin beauty..

( I just plugged it in...it's like a freakin hurrincane..)

How loud is it? I bought the 10" Max Fan and boyee is it quiet. It didn't come with any brackets either, so I just attached a 10" flange onto a scrubber and sat it right on the top of it.

It's pretty loud..I'm not sure how to combat the noise also, except to suspend the fan with bungees from the ceiling...

Armaflex and the heavy duty insulated ducting. Will straight purr homey. I have dual 12" and wont be able to hear them.

Or on a budget. 4" eggcrate. I just saw a room yesterday, the entire room was lined with 4" 33"x72" eggcrates. If I did it over I would just line the room like that and panda film it, all tight. I could not hear a thing from 4ft from wall/room.

do you already have insulated duct?
may need some a' that too...
