I wanted to post in the "What are you listening to" thread and I can't figure out how to embed the vid (some hacker, eh? LOL). vBull allows a couple tags that will do it but they don't seem to be working here.

Any tips?

Thanks

Can't you just copy and paste the youtube link into a post like you would on FB or in an email? I do that all the time. The embed code won’t work, it is the code for embedding the video into a webpage.

If I just C&P, it comes out like this...

[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UIt3dx4an9c[/ame]

You have to expand it for a good picture.[ame]http://http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aPw7FFEicCI[/ame]

Copy the address at the very top of the page and use 'insert link'.

If the link has an https you have to remove the last s. You can't use the short links on youtube. You have to copy the actual url.

OK, looking back at my post 2 up, I see it is embedded.

Brain fart.

I'll blame it on the butter. LOL

Thanks

I edited your post in post 3 and removed the s from https. Then the video embedded.

LMAO... trying to drive me crazy. LOL

Thanks, got it all straight now.

Try as I might, I still cannot get a video to embed... I remove the s from the https:, I try pasting the url directly into the post, I try using the link button, nothing works... what am I doing wrong please. Hammy?

Besides removing the s you have to use the url in the browser box not a quick link or even a link. You look up the video you want then paste the link that is in your browser. I spent an hour the other day tinkering with getting the YouTube share links to work but they wouldn't.
Hope that helps. Oh and you can't use the link in the browser box if you are going through a singles package.

dont Know what a singles package is but I got the video posted!!! Thanks Hammy!
