Is it recommended to trim leaves during early flowering to expose buds to light. If so, how should the leaves be cut and with what type of knife/scissor (sterilized?)? I'm at the end of 2nd week of flowering and have a number of buds some of which are not getting as much light as the others. Thanks.

dont remove the leaves.....if light is hitting the fan leaves its all you need, thats how the buds grow.

remove the solar panels and there will be less energy absorbed to make the sticky, and that sounds icky.

Growing mj can be tricky;
don't get all picky;
just give the zag a licky;
and don't be a dicky.

Do not know where you got this recommendation, but it is not correct.
