Hello Mike, read the information in our "Resources" and you find all kinds of information on growing, indoor and out doors. Do some reading and then come back at us with some specific questions.
Concerning outdoor growing, one year a friend of mine simply dug a hole in his back yard, tilled the soil and planted his plants, He gave them no fertilizer and they grew quite well. That's not the suggested way of growing outdoors, but it worked for him. But he was a smart guy anyway, and he figured that since the soil hadn't been use for growing anything in such a long time, he figured it didn't need fertilizing.
