- Basically this guy argues that superphosphates ( = ammonium phosphate) ties up essential nutrients iron, manganese, zinc, ... er I forget the last one.
Anyway. By coincidence someone recommended hammering iron nails into my fig trees to remedy second-crop withering. Relevant.
- So I think I will make some calcium phosphate (I've got the ingredients to hand) and test it on one of my babes.
And maybe it couldn't do any harm to throw in a few galvanised nails and a bit of manganese dioxide that you can get out of a used dry cell.
Your mileage may vary. I like experimenting.
