Does anyone know if MJ is chloride-sensitive?
The reason I ask is that most off-the-shelf ferts found in garden centres use potassium chloride to provide the K part. I didn't like that; many plants - like avocadoes - are poisoned by choride. Try adding common salt (sodium chloride) and your plants will die.
(Why do the makers use potassium chloride? because it is dirt cheap, is why)

There are better ways to get the K.
For instance I am now experimenting with making my own ferts. I am using potassium nitrate to get the N and the K at the same time. KNO3 has a molecular mass of 19+14+48 = 81
So the %K is 19/81 = 23% and N is 14/81 = 17%
This means that feeding pure potassium nitrate is to give a fert of 23-0-17
Of course, I will add some phosphorus using ammonium phosphate or calcium phosphate.
