Hello MP Growers,

I've not done a grow journal for years now but I have recently built a sweet grow cab in my attic. As you can see in the pics it’s a two part cabinet, the flower cab is 6ft x 2ft x 5.5ft has a 600w duel spec HPS in a cool tube run off lumetek digital ballast. The veg space is 4ft x 2ft x 4.5ft, at the moment there is a 2’ 4way T5 lighting the veg space but I plan to run a 400w MH in there with a cool tube during the 2nd half of veg.

I am currently growing Critical White as it gives fat hefty buds which are such a sweet smoke, lovin it.

The max temps in my flower room have been about 90f during the very hottest days this year which is good because the attic gets very hot and the cab takes fresh air from the bathroom which gets its air from outside, so its gets hot but only sometimes. Below is a few pics of my cab and the grow schedule I plan to use for my next cycle.

Lookin` good. Keep it green.

Thanks, looking forward to see how much it can produce when its stuffed with bushy goodness

Looks like a nice cab grow, looking good bro.

Looks good man!! Got me thinking about all that attic space I have. Would be awesome to be able to use some of it. I see you said your temps inside the cabinet never goes above 90. What temps do you get in the actual attic? I might look into this. I need a veg space soon. Want to turn my cabinet into strictly bloom.
Great looking setup

No way i could grow in my attic. Probably 120 degrees up there. Hottttttt as hell here in Texas. Im meltingggggggggg.

Yeah it gets well hot up there but the air in the bathroom is cool. Probably gets to we'll over 100 up there, I havent measured the temp in the attic, but the aluminium ladder feels very warm on a sunny day.

It was 72f and sunny today and the max temp in the attic was 103f, the max temp in my flower room was 84f. I wonder what the MH will do to the veg temps, hope they don't go to high, might save it for the winter when they'll need the warmth.

I got my first harvest from my attic growroom, i pretty much filled my 2 drying boxes and after drying i had 380g all bud, which i think is good going. i do hope to exceed this though with my next cycle. my drying boxes work really well they just have cheap pc fans which are easily swapped when they break.

i have tidied up my irrigation too as all the lines looked a mess and it made it difficult to position my plants

i have taken 20 clones and have lollipopped and transplanted the 11 plants i had in veg. their last week of veg was under my new 400w MH with got them good and ready for flower

after 1 week of flower they have grown nicely into my cane support net. i really cant wait to see it crammed with buds

Just beautiful stone! I don't know how you keep your attic cool enough, but great job up there.

Looking great in there stone. Sweet set up.

Thanks THG, I do catch myself staring for ages. I do find it most pleasing to just sit and watch them grow. I don't cool the attic, I get fresh cool air from the bathroom so it's as isolated as can be from the hot attic air. Plus this is England, we get like 2 weeks of summer. I think I might have more trouble keeping them from freezing when the lights go off. Winter is coming

My flowering plants are getting some good bud production already. My clones are starting to yellow a little as they start to eat themselves as they aren't showing roots yet but so far every clone I've taken of white critical has taken agess to show roots so I think it's all going to plan.

I thought I'd include a photo of my view from my chill out chair too. As I am sitting there writing this update.

Looking good stone ! Mojo to ya. Hope your clones take . And if I had room I'd have a t5 veg/clone/prop setup too.

Thanks sticky. You could probably make a propagation set up that's fits in a tiny cupboard. I was planning to split the veg area of my last setup to have a prop zone but as it happened I didn't need it as my plants got to the height I wanted as the flower cab became available to them. They didn't need extra time to root. I went a little off topic. Point is, you could make a prop box with minimal space to get them big enough to withstand the hps which you can use to veg them most bulbs are duel spectrum.

What about t8s ? With ho bulbs . Or are they completely different to t5s?
