CANNABIS TINCTURES

TO MAKE A TINCTURE

1. Finely chop or crumble dried or fresh cannabis.
2. Submerge in an alcoholic liquid in a glass or stainless steel bowl (never plastic).
Make sure container has a tight fitting lid.
3. Allow to sit for two weeks in a dark warm (about 75F).
4. Shake vigorously at least 2x/day

To make a tincture only a potent drinkable alcohol must be used. Rubbing alcohol (isopropyl) is poisonous
when ingested. The alcohol should be at least 30 proof but its preferable to use 80 proof.
One half to one pint of alcohol is used for every oz of dried cannabis bud or roughly 10-20 fluid oz per
ounce of flower bud.
Undried bud requires alcohol of a higher proof and the proportion is 5-10 fluid oz per one oz of cannabis.
Leaf can be used to make tinctures but the amount used needs to be increased to the following: Two oz of
dried leave for every half pint to pint of alcohol used.
