I noticed that too, but its is pretty diluted and Looking back I think I mixed in way to much molasses because it turned my water very brown...thanks for looking in LF, by the way have you ever used clearex? :cool:
Thanks for your responses, and contrary to a few posts on here you can use molasses in Hydro if done correctly, obviuosly I did something wrong. It seemed to have caused my plant the ability to absorb through the roots. Even after flushing and rinsing they would still not absorb water or...
I too was using well water with a PPM of about 250 or higher and chased PH all over the place. Until I can afford R/O system I have been buying distilled water for $1.89 for 2.5 gallons..PH is a breeze to deal with little flucuation....:cool:

I have a Gibson Les Paul double cutaway and a 1963 model Fender Jaguar that is a pretty nice guitar. Srat and Tele's are cool , but check out the Jag. The are making reissue model for around 800.00........:cool:

I have changed out the water to flush, I rinsed the roots they seemed heavy and a darker color...
Well, everything was going great until I added molasses the other night. My roots got all dark colored and the plant went from doing fantastic to almost dying. I changed out the water today to try and save it. I rinsed the roots the best I could. I used 1 teaspoon per gallon, but it sure did...
My grandkids were over for the weekend, I have a 4 year old boy and a 1 1/2 year old girl. We had a little bit of snow yesterday{ about 3 " } so all afternoon my grandson was bugiing me to take out the " pile truck" as he calls it to move snow...Since I don't do ANTHING in front of kids at all...
