You can buy a wireless sensor/reciever temp kit at a few of the hardware stores. If you are mechanicaly and electricaly inclined you could wire in a thermostat or humidistat to bring on a fan, cooler, lights even and controll it all from there. I have a mind to use a Honeywell Vision Pro 8000...

yup go safe. if you wanted to be extra safe you could put a thin 1/2 inch bit of fiberglass between the Metal and the wood on top or where ever it gets hot. FYI a good cheap place to get shinny, thin, stainless is a scrap metal recycler. They would far rather sell to you than ship it to China...

I would go with the tried tested and true. I've seen the defference of the blanket vs mylar and would go for the mylar. That or white paint. My 2 cents

The problem with the door of a micro refrigerator ( or any size) being open in the same room you're cooling is....where is the heat your rejecting out of the space going to go? The room will accually heat up faster than without it. You need a window a/c unit with it's "back end" completely...

FYI in Canada, its not cool to thieve electricity. You will get raped by the power company. It is however VERY easy to say " just got a new 8 person hottub or huge jacuzie with a new electric hot water tank, and you have got it cranked up because of your hurt back". Well its easy for me to say.

I wonder.......... Would a coulple or more of "coolitron" cooling plates work for you? There are fans invonved, and I have quietened down the coolitron I have down a notch using turbine oil.
