    Rockwool or Soil?

    I have a auto-pot growing system (i.e. the water goes from the reservoir straight into the tray with no pumps required). With this system do I need to use soil to soak up the water or will the rockwool do the same job? Which is best? Any help would be greatly appreciated cos I am well...
