I have a generator ready for emergency use. I live out in the country and we experience power outages now and then, normally due to severe weather or accident. When the power company can't provide I gotta keep my babies happy... so I have to provide power for lights.. pumps etc.. z

I'm with hushpuppy on this one! I'm on my fourth grow in coco and have never found a better medium IMHO. I've grown many many DWC gardens in hydroton and have made the switch to coco in a run to waste system. If coco can work in an ebb and flow system.. I would certainly explore this avenue...

I've grown many many gardens in DWC, most of the systems have been my own hybrid designs. I've had some awesome success ... that being said.. I've made the switch to growing in coco in a "hempy bucket" system. This is a "run to waste" system. I gotta tell ya.. I have NEVER enjoyed such success...

I agree 100% with this post, I've been told that coco should never have an excess of 800ppm's... over time I drive my ppm's past 1400-1600. It takes time to ramp up to this level, I have never had ANY problems so long as I allow the plants a reasonable time to get used to the higher nute levels...

The proper way is to mix your nutes and water first THEN adjust your ph... NOT adjust your waters ph then mix nutes... z

If you are in a similar situation to me I would suggest iron core magnetic ballast's. I live in a rural area and sometimes experience power outages for somewhat extended periods due to storms etc... so I have a generator to run my room and keep my light cycles in event of power outage. It has...
