I think it really depends on the height you're looking for and the kind of lights you're using. I grow under hps from day1 and shoot for 3 ft tall plants and veg for 14 days. Strain probably makes a difference too but I only have experience with g13 Mr nice.

I only flushed afterwards and used them both together. Started about 3 weeks from harvest for two weeks and then flushed at the end. Seemed like it worked well. It was my first grow but my buds definetly changed after these products were introduced. Way more crystals.

Day 24, We've got Buds! Still concerned about stretch, they're looking a little stalky so to speak. I wanted to keep them short and stubby. Gave them another little shot of Bushmaster, which will be the last since we've got flowers now. Going to start adding Ionic Boost to the mix from here on...

I highly suggest an environment controller. I'm using a Sentinel Evc-2. It can control a heater,exhaust,intake,dehumidifier/humidifier and CO2. Set the temp and RH you want and your done. Best $ I've spent yet!

Normally when the power is on, I have a heater hooked up to my controller and the temp stays between 75-80 at all times. I figure with no power it will drop to whatever the outside temp will be, probably around 45.
