Hi all I'm Matt
55 long term smoker who had to quit now I'm a gummy guy who grows for his wife
I have speckling going on and have seen 3 or 4 different possible explanations including thrips, spider mites and 4 lined plant bugs
All my plants look like this to an extent and it's just a few leaves per plant
The plants themselves still look happy
They are outdoors in Michigan
Any help would be great
Thanks in advance and look forward to responses

In my last outdoor grow in MIchigan, it was Jap beetles that did the most damage. I got some of those pheromone traps and that took care of the lion's share of 'em. Put the traps at least 50' or so away from your plants or your just ringing the dinner bell for 'em.

What does the underside of that look like? The same?
are you using anything for bugs growing outside like Spinosad?
did you say you were growing outside?

Monterey Bt with Spinosad and for backup , PyGanic

i have had good luck using both products to control bugs

also we keep some Azamax and Safer Soap which gives us a comprehensive but simple outdoor bug program

I think u got it submarine girl
Near as I can tell it's those 4 line bugs
The holes match damage I've seen online and I saw some of those but they're fast movers
Thankfully what I'm reading says the damage is mostly aesthetic and the bugs will be gone in a couple more weeks
Thanks to all I appreciate the input

It’s Japanese beetle season here. Last year they cleaned my hibiscus plant in one day. Best to catch and kill them. have To check the plants several times a day for them
