In my experience-it helps to also buy the "Digital Bulbs"
My cheap chinese lumatek knock off burned up because of not using a digital bulb. I would run that down with the manufacturer. Luckily it was under warranty and I was able to get it replaced-would have been a bummer if I had to wait for a replacement in bud cycle-luckily I had a back-up magnetic ballast.
