    bugs in dwc system

Gnats are small flying insects about 3-5mm in length. The larvae of some species feed on roots (and generally all species are considered pests) so it is best to get rid of them as quickly as possible. Flooding worked well for me, but using a mild natural insecticide for a short period of time...

    bugs in dwc system

I've seen them in my DWC bucket, you're not alone. I'm not sure what they are, though I'm guessing they are gnat larvae, as those are the only insects I've seen in my tent. They also appear to live higher up, in a dryer area, and are getting washed down by the bubbling and churning of the...

Inqury abouyt 150 watt metal halide ballast

While I think I've seen 150w MHs, I can't seem to find any right now. But in the end you'd probably be better going with the 175w MH. More lumens and, should you ever have to, you can pop in a 150w HPS conversion bulb.

    Coconut Pellets? anybody try it?

Yep, put 'em under the light right away after putting the seed in (for warmth if nothing else). If you have or can find one of those plastic greenhouses with the clear tops it would be helpful. You just need to keep it warm (somewhere around 80°-85°F) and try not to let it dry out. When you...

    Coconut Pellets? anybody try it?

I love them! You use them just like peat pellets. Let them soak up as much water as they can hold, then drop the seed in (pointed side up), and cover lightly. After that keep them moist but not soaked. If it's too wet mold will start growing. To start seeds for hydro (DWC) I cut the pellets...

Invoice from firm that advertises in pro-marijuana magazines led to arrest

Is there any growing equipment that is specific to MJ cultivation? I just paged through an old issue of HT, and aside from a couple of stealth cabinets nothing seems specialized to MJ. Nothing seemed MJ specific enough to warrant a warrant.

Invoice from firm that advertises in pro-marijuana magazines led to arrest

Well, that's sucks! But it's a good argument for supporting your local economy, and paying cash at the local nursery/hydro shop.

SALEM, Ore. -- The Oregon Legislature's latest idea for a tax? Medical marijuana. The state would take over growing and distributing marijuana to patients in the medical-marijuana program under a bill introduced Wednesday. Sponsored by Rep. kelvin vs. lumens

I'm no expert on it, so I might be wrong, but I think the Coolsun would be preferable. Giving you more lumens at the correct wavelengths.
