THG, I just found stringing up the room was a pain (maybe it's the room) and removing the buds from the stem seemed to require a lot of touch-up manicuring. I'll have to try hanging again sometime. I can't say I've ever noticed losing trichs with the screen method, not a whole lot anyway, but...

I tried the hanging method one time, it felt like I did all the work twice. After trimming them lovely buds, I hung them up (which was sorta a pain in itself) only to break them apart and manicure more a week later. What's the reason you prefer hanging over screen?

I know there are a few differnt methods of trimming, I prefer to manicure as I go, and dry the buds on screens. I've read a lot about people hang the plants, then manicuring after the fan leaves dry, etc. How do you trim? and why do you do it that way?

The yeild doesn't seem to be what it could be, but the potency makes up for it with this strain. Oo la la la. One more week, maybe 2. I need to find a magnifying glass to check the trichs, which won't be hard to spot on these babies. :D

to answer your question directly, yes... the pistils die and turn orange as the buds dry.

Hushpuppy's got it... but I wouldn't do any flush, just don't add anything more for a bit... additionally I would let the soil get a little dry before you wet it again to promote strong root growth at this point. JMO.

King Bud... I agree, it is a solid oppurtunity to tune in and learn the power of the mind and body, but for some people such as myself... it runs much deeper than self control. My point is... psychotropic drugs, weed included, have powerful effects on the mind and ignoring potential cons only...
